Improving the Environment With Eco-Friendly Plantation Shutters

In this ever-changing material world, we inhabit, we should always pay the greatest of consideration to the survival of our species and this planet to which we are mealy temporary guests. Currently, our delicate global ecosystems are finely balanced, bent and damaged by the excessive greed of the major corporations who while claiming to be ‘environmentally friendly’ are actually the real perpetrators of ‘crimes against nature,’ destroying the planet while keeping their PR advisors busy developing new advertising campaigns, delivering false claims of ‘Green Resources’ and ‘Environmental Development’ while their regular mistakes are covered up by their friends in the corporate-controlled ‘mainstream media’

Repeatedly guilty of and unjustifiable greed, the public is aware that the future of this planet is in our hands because clearly, the corporations cannot be trusted with the management of this precious ‘jewel’ in space. Every opportunity should be enabled to ensure that we are all being as ‘environmentally friendly’ as possible, from the general tasks of accurate recycling of waste and redundant electrical goods, people should also consider that the products for their home which they purchase are manufactured with kind consideration to our ecosystem

During a recent renovation of our’ living room,’ we finally decided on the installation of plantation shutters to maintain the traditional personality of our contemporary home. Initially we disliked the plastic appearance of the window shutters we reviewed, eventually discovering a company installing an ecofriendly range of plantation shutters which suited perfectly and are a pleasure to view

Manufactured from ‘Western Red Cedar’ which is an evergreen, coniferous tree from the Cypress family and native to the western North America region. These trees can grow huge indeed, ranging from 65 to 70 meters tall, providing a durable timber from the vast trunk. The benefit of using Red Cedar from this location is because they are from sustainable managed forest areas, where a new tree is replanted for each tree harvested. At the factory, they even use the leftover sawdust to fuel generators that power the plant and their packaging is made of biodegradable cardboard and the packing inserts from cardboard

Before the installation, too much sunlight had been a problem with some of the house plants somewhat stressed from the overexposure. Breaking up the direct sunlight with the louvers, we are now able to adjust our shutters to suit the amount to natural light entering the room, mostly during the summer months and with a view missing in the evening and early morning

It is worth taking the time to research where and how your household products are resourced and manufactured. For one’s own karma, wearing a shirt made by slave children or purchasing woods from decimated woodland is without a doubt not good for your spirit and the spirit of planet Earth

We all have to do our part and ensure we have a better, cleaner planet to pass on to our children and the generation which precedes them. Building upon the examples we have set, understanding the reasons for changing our lifestyle and ensuring respect for our delicate ecosystem. Together we can make it happen!
